IDS International is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to support the “Total Maintenance Contract for the Kaiserslautern Military Community.” The PM will be responsible for all personnel within the public works department including, but not limited to day-to-day maintenance of the military community infrastructure such as sewer maintenance and facility operation, sanitation, street maintenance, city storm and sanitary sewer operations, and emergency response for snow and ice, flood, severe weather mitigation. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading project teams in delivering solutions to external customers. The PM will manage one or multiple projects as part of a program, reporting directly into a Program Management function.
- Own performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
- Responsible for managing all project resources, including subcontractors, vendors and internal departments. The candidate will be expected to maintain effective communication across all project’s stakeholders, and to provide day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to the customer and program leadership.
- Be available between 0700-1600 hours, Monday through Friday except Federal holidays or when the government facility is closed.
- Process all employees’ installation and CAC requests to ensure for correctness, before submitting application to Government.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably engineering, or Foreign Country Equivalent, or documented five (5) years of experience in Project Management and facility operations, preventive maintenance, repair, construction services, and equipment preventive maintenance and repair.
- Be able to correctly identify required maintenance, define project requirements, and relay any findings in writing (preferably) and/or orally in a way that employee understands requirements.
- Be able to read and write in English and German at the proficiency level 4.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Language Requirements:
- English and German at level 4 proficiency: At this level an employee is required to possess a high degree of proficiency in both written and spoken English, including the ability to translate the host country language into precise and correct English, and English into the applicable foreign language. On occasion, an employee at this level might be expected to act as an interpreter in situations where considerable importance attaches to proper word meaning.
Computer Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
